Well I finally got the chance to send my bike (jaguh) to the workshop last Tuesday evening. This time I took the chance to change the sprockets for my bike (sizes 15;39) together with new chains. It said on many forums, that a jaguh can achieve high speed with this choice of sprockets. Did it make a change? Well not sure coz I found out that I was already using this sizes of sprockets =P. Since the back wheels was off, the brake shoes was also replace for safety, no use going fast but you can’t stop it. Then a must for each service is a oil change, the wonderful thing about my jaguh is, every time I enter the bike shop in Ampang, the aunty will always ask me (if nothing wrong, just change the oil enough)hehe, this bike is good coz the only real maintainers is the engine oil. Yes the others like chain, tyres, batteries and all that is also something to check, but for normal servicing, only the engine oil. Not like my car or ninja, very the sensitive.
Yes, my bike do take 1 ½ bottles of black oil (Shell), but it’s always happy to know the engine will run smoother with it =) . and when all was done, the guy started my bike, and it was like yeah!!! Normally that the que to leave but I was somewhat not satisfied. I turn to aunty and ask for the price for the carburettor, she gave me to prices, (Japan = RM6++ / Thailand = RM3++). I’m not telling you what I took, but after installing it, I was happy =)
Riding home was great, and had an awesome idea... ROAD TRIP!!!
This also was because this coming Saturday was Labour day, and it’s one of those Saturday that I was not working. Hence it was like an window of opportunity to explore and enjoy riding. At 1st, I was thinking of bringing a load of people, especially my partner in crime, SOYA!! Then I realize she should rest after her trip from JB.. so I guess this should be a solo ride. Well where to go? Maybe Port Dickson, they have the new rooftop Go-Kart place at Ocean Mall, or Melaka can visit Seow family, then again those places are comment to my memory.
There are other places like the cost of Pahang, Terengganu is an unexplored territory for me, ideas came in with facebooks announcement for a trip around Malaysia. And I must say, a healthy number of replies it was. THANKS YOU GUYS!!
So today, (Thursday, 29 April 2010) I have decided to set a cource and travel to Kuantan (Pahang), Terengganu, Ipoh, and back home to Ampang. I give myself 2days (Friday and Saturday) to complete the 1200KM road trip. Coming with me on this trip will be my Jaguh (champion) bike, my Olympus DSLR, IPod, Nokia Phone, and a tent “just in case”.
This will be my 1st time riding so far, 1st time travelling to the west coast, and alone. So do wish me luck and pray for my safe journey. I will do my best to record as much as i can, and we will view them soon.
Again thanks for reading, till next time TAKE CARE and Keep SMILLING!!!
